Find out what is the Sonoda Racecourse and how to get there. Know the schedule of races and how the racetrack is like.

The Sonoda Racecourse is one of the most popular chiho keiba (地方競馬) horse racing facility in Japan. This is because it is the only racecourse located in the Kansai area. The races are managed and organized by the Hyogo Prefectural Racing Association.

This racetrack is under the National Association of Racing (NAR) in Japan. NAR is locally known as Chiho Keiba Zenkoku Kyokai (地方競馬全国協会). It is the highest governing body of all local governments that handles domestic horse races. This means that NAR itself does not manage horse racing events.

The Sonoda Racecourse has a ¥100 entrance fee that you need to pay in order to get into the facility. There are also various restaurants and food stalls inside the horse racing facility that you can enjoy before the races start.
